Salary Range:

Hands-on experience managing small group health insurance renewals. Experience processing employee enrollments, terminations, dependent changes, and eligibility updates. Experience quoting and comparing small group health insurance plans. Familiarity with California small group health insurance carriers and carrier portals. Experience resolving carrier billing, enrollment, and eligibility issues. Strong understanding of employee benefits and small group health insurance administration. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to independently manage recurring deadlines and multiple client accounts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, agency management systems, carrier portals, and web-based insurance technology. Mandarin-speaking strongly preferred due to our client base. Must be able to work on-site Monday-Friday at our Walnut, CA office. Responsibilities Independently manage and service a book of small group health insurance and employee benefits accounts. Manage the annual renewal process from carrier release through client review, plan selection, and implementation. Prepare renewal comparisons, proposals, and plan options for clients. Process and verify completion of employee enrollments, terminations, dependent changes, and other eligibility updates. Quote new small group health insurance accounts and compare available carrier and plan options. Assist with onboarding and implementation of new groups. Serve as a primary point of contact for client questions regarding benefits, eligibility, billing, and coverage. Work directly with insurance carriers to resolve enrollment, eligibility, billing, and service issues. Proactively track outstanding carrier requests and follow up through completion. Maintain accurate client records, renewal information, and documentation in agency systems and internal tracking tools. Manage multiple renewal and enrollment deadlines independently and escalate potential problems before they become client issues. Work closely with agency owners and team members on client service and new business opportunities.
