Employee Benefits Account Manager Location:
Newnan, GA Area (On-site) Position Overview A well-established, independent insurance agency in the Newnan area is seeking a client-focused, detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager to join their team. This is a 100% service and account management role focused on handling the day-to-day administration, client implementation, and account servicing for group insurance clients (including group health, life, short-term, and long-term disability) as well as individual policies. This key role works in close partnership with agency producers to deliver high-touch service, streamline renewal processes, and resolve client inquiries.
Key Responsibilities Client Account Servicing:
Serve as the primary daily point of contact for employer groups and HR managers regarding billing inquiries, enrollment issues, and claim resolutions.
Quoting & Proposal Development:
Utilize carrier design websites and portal tools to gather quotes and construct comprehensive group benefit proposals for upcoming renewals and new clients.
Implementation Support:
Facilitate smooth client transitions when moving account coverage between carrier providers (e.g., Anthem, Aetna).
Producer Support:
Assist agency producers with background preparation, documentation, and operational backend setup ahead of client presentations.
Policy Maintenance:
Process open enrollment updates, mid-year plan additions/terminations, and maintain accurate internal database records.
Qualifications & Experience Industry Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in employee benefits account management, CSR, or group carrier representative roles (e.g., Anthem, Aetna, or similar carriers).
Licensing:
Active Life & Health insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency with web-based carrier rating platforms, quoting portals, and general office applications.
Role Focus:
Dedicated client-service mindset with strong organization and communication skills; no sales cold-calling required.
Work Schedule & Location Schedule:
Standard office hours (Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM).
Work Arrangement:
On-site in the Newnan office to facilitate client collaboration, with eligibility for 1 flexible remote day per week.
