Employee Benefits Account ManagerLocation:
Bismarck, North DakotaKey Responsibilities:
Support the administration and ongoing servicing of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, Medicare-related products, and ancillary benefitsSupport pre-sale activities by gathering and validating census data, coordinating required documentation, and assisting with carrier quoting and proposal preparationAssist with onboarding new benefit clients by coordinating data collection, carrier setup, implementation activities, and internal/external communicationsCoordinate and facilitate resolution of day-to-day service requests including eligibility changes, enrollments, terminations, billing questions, and basic claims supportCoordinate annual renewal processes by gathering census updates, preparing materials, and supporting client communicationsServe as a liaison between clients, carriers, internal banking partners, and advisors to ensure timely communication and issue resolutionIdentify, triage, and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal or external partnersPrepare and deliver client-facing materials including onboarding documents, enrollment communications, and renewal summariesSupport the Senior Employee Benefits Insurance Advisor by preparing meeting materials, coordinating meetings, documenting follow-ups, and tracking action itemsEnsure accuracy and completeness of all clients, employees, and plan data across systems and maintain organized documentation to support reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications:
Basic understanding of employee benefits concepts (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.)Strong attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and task management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAbility to follow established processes and proceduresProfessional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to serve as a primary point of contact for clients and partnersComfortable working across multiple systems, including enrollment platforms, carrier portals, and internal toolsAbility to identify issues and escalate appropriatelyDependable with strong follow-through and accountabilityAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, relationship-focused environment
Preferred Experience:
Three to five years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or HR supportExperience with enrollment platforms such as Employee Navigator and carrier portalsDemonstrated initiative and adaptability in a growing environment, with the ability to identify process improvements and support the development of new procedures and service initiatives
