Job Description

Raritan Landing Golf Course
  • Golf Course Superintendent Raritan Landing Golf Course, in Piscataway, NJ is owned by the Middlesex County Parks Department and managed by Indigo Sports, a subsidiary of Troon Golf.
This 3,300-yard, par-58, 18-hole golf course, designed by Stephen Kay, opened on October 1, 1999, and offers players a premium on shot making and accuracy. With small greens and narrow fairways, Raritan Landing can provide a true test for all golfers despite its short length.   • 8 acres) Education and Experience Requirements 5+ Years of golf course management experience required with progressing responsibility Associate's degree or Certificate in Agronomy GCSAA membership in good standing Knowledge of local and federal Regulatory Compliance associated with golf course management Knowledge of maintaining budgets and effectively managing the crew Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly organized, motivated and efficient with a strong attention to detail Communication and interpersonal skills are critical Must obtain a New Jersey Commercial Pesticide License within 60 days of hire.
Previous supervisory experience is required but qualified assistant superintendents will be strongly considered Must be well versed in irrigation troubleshooting; experience with older decoder systems is preferred.

New pump station Newer equipment fleet with new pieces added annually Agronomy operating Budget around $475k Seeking a motivated candidate to grow with Troon, make their mark at Raritan Landing and move on to full size 18-hole property within 3-5 years. We are actively working to elevate the Middlesex County public course portfolio with strong capital influx from the county. The next superintendent at Raritan Landing will play an integral part of this movement as early planning has begun for renovations to Raritan Landing including a new irrigation system.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive base salary of $85,000
  • $90,000 annually BOE.
