Job Description

CORA Services is a dynamic and growing not for profit organization in Philadelphia. For more than 50 years, CORA has served children and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges that impact their development and productivity. Our mission is to empower children, young people, and families to thrive through quality and compassionate service. We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Benefits and Wellness Manager to join our Talent & Culture team. In this role you will support CORA's mission by helping design, administer and continuously improve CORA's benefits and wellness programs. This position will be on-site during the introductory period and hybrid thereafter (3 days in office, including rotating Fridays). Minimum starting salary is $93,000 (compensation commensurate with experience and credentials) All CORA team members are expected to uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual's potential for growth. In addition, as a Benefits and Wellness Manager, your duties will include: In partnership with the VP of Talent and Culture, build and maintain a benefits strategy that is aligned with CORA's values, strategic objectives and talent needs, helping to ensure we attract and retain a diverse, talented, mission-driven workforce Partner with all members of the Talent and Culture team to build, maintain, and communicate strong HR programs and policies that support our mission and values Administer employee benefits programs including health, retirement, disability and life insurance, and other wellness programs and initiatives Serve as the primary liaison with benefits vendors, brokers and third-party administrators Lead annual open enrollment process including employee education and communications; partner with HRIS provider to ensure accurate enrollment Resolve employee benefits questions and challenges with accuracy and empathy Monitor benefits utilization, costs and trends; recommend improvements Reconcile bi-weekly payroll data with HRIS, compensation, benefits deductions and general ledger allocations; partner with Finance and Payroll to identify and resolve discrepancies related to benefits Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS reporting, etc.) Support audits, Form 5500 filings and carrier reconciliations; document audit findings and corrective actions to support internal controls Assist in coordination of and participate in agency-wide events and Talent and Culture sponsored events Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by the
VP of Talent and Culture Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR management, business or related discipline; will consider non-degreed applicants with an appropriate level of employee benefits experience and demonstrated competencies 5+ years of relevant experience in benefits administration and strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, especially those related to employee benefits Experienced with HRIS administration - experience with UKG is a plus Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficiency with MS Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook) Ideal candidates are service-focused, organized, adaptable, and self-motivated with a generally positive attitude and approach to work
