Job Description
Manager, Compensation

Are you interested in being a key contributor in supporting the development of enterprise solutions to support compensation initiatives? Have a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, design, and administration? If so, we want to speak with you! We are actively recruiting a Manager, Compensation to join our department in Richmond, VA. This position is in Richmond, VA with a hybrid work schedule. Relocation benefits will be provide. As a Manager of Compensation, you will serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders across the enterprise.
What you will be doing:
- Partnering with HRBPs to consult with business clients and deliver compensation solutions that support business objectives.
- Performing significant data analysis on compensation topics, including base pay, short-term incentive plans, long-term incentive plans, pay for performance, benchmarking and market data, annual survey participation and labor market trends.
- Providing advice and guidance through the job evaluation process to appropriately value work in our organization and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition on delivering highly competitive and attractive new hire offers to meet our diverse talent needs.
- Leading complex compensation projects, from design through delivery, including change management, and training.
- Delivering compensation programs, including annual base salary increases, promotions, short-term and long-term incentives, stock administration, and other salary movement.
- Providing up-to-date market intelligence on competitive compensation trends and practices.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including wage and hour, equal pay, and pay transparency requirements, and creating the supporting policy and procedure documentation.
We want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, design, and administration.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
- Proficiency with HRIS and compensation platforms, market pricing and survey tools and application of AI to compensation spaces. Experience with SuccessFactors preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to influence partners and clients at all levels.
- Experience with job architecture, salary structure design, and skills-based approaches to pay.
- Experience applying analytics, modeling, and data visualization to project the impact of proposed changes.
