Job Description
Total Rewards Manager Hybrid | Chicago Southwest Suburbs | $100,000-$120,000 + Excellent Benefits An expanding healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Total Rewards Manager to oversee its benefits and retirement programs in Burr Ridge, IL. This role involves taking charge of the company's benefits function and serving as the internal expert on employee benefits, leave administration, retirement plans, and compliance. We are looking for a seasoned professional who can lead complex benefits programs and collaborate with leadership, employees, brokers, and vendors to ensure compliance across a multi-state workforce. Responsibilities Direct all employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and voluntary benefits. Manage the annual Open Enrollment process from strategy and planning through vendor negotiations, employee communications, enrollment, and implementation. Collaborate with brokers and leadership on benefit plan design , assessing plan offerings, suggesting improvements, and delivering competitive, cost-effective programs. Oversight of the company's 401(k) plan , including participant communications, enrollment, vendor management, compliance, and ongoing administration. Coordinate Form 5500 filings , assist with annual 401(k) audits , and ensure retirement plan compliance. Lead strategic retirement plan initiatives, such as recordkeeper transitions and vendor conversions. Administer all Leave of Absence programs, including various types of leave requirements. Lead the ADA reasonable accommodation process to ensure compliant workplace solutions. Develop employee communications and educational materials focusing on benefits and retirement programs. Support employee recognition and reward programs. Maintain relationships with benefits brokers, retirement plan providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. About 5+ years of progressive experience in Benefits, Total Rewards, or Human Resources, with a strong focus on employee benefits. Proven track record leading Open Enrollment activities from planning through execution. Experience in managing 401(k) plans and ensuring retirement plan compliance. Experience in benefit plan design , renewals, and broker/vendor management. Experience with 401(k) recordkeeper transitions or retirement plan conversions is advantageous. Expertise in
