Job Description

Position:
Employee Benefit Account Manager We are looking for an experienced Employee Benefit Account Manager with strong knowledge of various carriers, quotes, proposals, new business, and renewals. Enjoy a supportive and flexible work environment with competitive compensation and benefits.
Primary Job Purpose:
Manage an assigned block of Employee Benefits business, including fully insured, partially self-funded, or self-insured accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports. Compare health plan benefits and costs. Calculate employee contributions and develop strategies to meet budgetary goals. Prepare annual client service plans. Conduct open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars. Collect client information for HIB technology offerings. Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices. Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers. Other duties as assigned.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills to assist Producers in meeting deadlines. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. In-depth knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration. Familiarity with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other health insurance regulations. Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers. High School diploma required; College degree preferred. Life and Disability license required. 2+ years of experience in group health insurance or benefit brokerage/consulting.
