Job Description

You will serve as an Equal Employment Specialist of
CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA. GS12
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized Experience must include:
1) Conducting employment discrimination counseling in response to informal complaints raised by employees or applicants who allege discrimination and/or reprisal for engaging in protected Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) activity, in accordance with applicable EEO laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; 2) Analyzing and evaluating information related to EEO complaint activity, workforce demographics, and employment practices to identify systemic barriers to equal employment opportunity; 3) Encouraging the use of and coordinating alternative dispute resolution (ADR) during the informal stage of the EEO complaint process; 4) Processing reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency procedures; and 5) Supporting affirmative employment initiatives, including preparing reports that analyze demographic data and identify barriers affecting the employment, advancement, and retention of employees and prospective applicants. GS 11: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: 1) Assisting with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counseling in response to informal complaints raised by employees or applicants alleging employment discrimination and/or reprisal for engaging in protected EEO activity, in accordance with applicable EEO laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; 2) Entering, updating, tracking, and maintaining the accuracy of EEO complaint information in web-based complaint-tracking systems; 3) Encouraging the use of and coordinating alternative dispute resolution (ADR) during the informal stage of the EEO complaint process; 4) Assisting with the processing of reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency procedures; and 5) Assisting with the implementation of affirmative employment and Model EEO Program initiatives, including compiling demographic data, supporting barrier analyses, and preparing reports or other documentation identifying potential barriers to equal employment opportunity.
