We're partnering with an established Savannah restaurant seeking a Chef de Cuisine who is passionate about culinary excellence, team development, and leading successful kitchen operations. This is a unique opportunity for a Chef de Cuisine who is looking for long-term career growth. The selected candidate will have a clear path to transition into the Executive Chef role within approximately 12 months as the current Executive Chef moves into a new internal opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a strong culinary leader who can take ownership of daily kitchen operations, develop a talented culinary team, and continue building on the success of an established Savannah restaurant. What You'll Do Lead the daily operations of the kitchen while maintaining high standards for food quality and consistency. Partner with the Executive Chef during the transition period to learn operations and prepare for future leadership. Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members at all levels. Oversee kitchen organization, preparation, and service execution. Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste control. Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety. Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence. What We're Looking For 3+ years of Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef experience. Experience leading culinary teams in upscale casual or fine dining restaurants. Proven success managing high-volume kitchen operations. Strong knowledge of food cost, labor management, purchasing, and inventory controls. Passion for developing culinary talent and preparing for increased leadership responsibility. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Stable work history with demonstrated career progression.
