Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Rights Investigator or Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enforcement of civil rights laws, support litigation efforts, and assist in complex legal investigations. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, organizational, and communication skills, with a passion for justice and advocacy. This paid position is vital in advancing our mission to uphold civil rights protections and promote equitable treatment for all individuals. Exp. in areas of, business admin., civil rights, labor relations, public admin., public relations, social services, or workforce development. Strong analytical and writing ability to assess complex information and communicate findings clearly. Thorough understanding of Indiana Civil Rights Laws, Commission rules and regulations, HUD and EEOC standards, and relevant court decisions. Exceptional organizational skills to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience reviewing civil rights cases, drafting agreements and making recommendations. Prior experience conducting interviews of complainants, respondents and witnesses. Will accept training from an accredited college in any areas of skill item #1 in lieu of 4 years' experience.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
