Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Diversity and EEO Officer at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. The Diversity Officer will be responsible for furthering MES's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Diversity Officer will coordinate the development and implementation of the Service's diversity policy and work closely with MES leadership to develop and implement programs to support the agency's diversity initiatives and strategies to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workforce. As the EEO Officer, this position will oversee, administer, and implement State and Federal policies and will provide leadership with guidance related to equal employment opportunity
Estimated Pay Range:
$93,440.94 - $128,481.30

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 5 years of human resources experience with at least two years specializing in equal employment opportunity and diversity programs. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. The selected candidate will have a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local EEO laws and regulations, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability work effectively with individuals across various backgrounds. This position will be open until filled. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
