Department SDSU-Human Resources Physical Location of Position (City) Brookings Posting Text The Office of Human Resources at South Dakota State University is seeking a Title IX/EO Investigator to join our team. This position will investigate complaints regarding Title IX and Equal Opportunity as designated by the TIX/EO Lead Investigator for the SDBOR System through Shared Services Office. This position is located in Brookings . This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Investigations, evidence collection, report writing, and presentation of investigation reports in hearings, as required. Develop, deploy, verify attendance, and maintain records and postings, of TIX/EO Coordinator and decision maker staff training across the SDBOR system in accordance with policies and statutes and regulations. Assist with the organization and maintenance of records in accordance with office protocols and maintain appropriate confidentiality and security.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, or equivalent by start date. Minimum of two years of full-time experience in a related field. Experience in conducting harassment and/or discrimination complaint investigations and knowledge of related laws and regulations. Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to use discretion and good judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work under multiple deadlines. Demonstrated ability to conduct an investigative interview using proactive listening skills and thorough questioning techniques. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Human Resources, Student Affairs, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Sociology, Law, or closely related field. Minimum of two years of higher education experience working with students preferably similar in size and organizational structure. Specific knowledge of Title IX and EO regulations; experience implementing the requirements of Title IX, preferably in conjunction with
