HR Manager ( Multi-State Operations ) Tempe, AZ
  • On-site
  • Full-time Seven hundred people. Ten states. Nine operating companies. Install crews, manufacturing staff, engineers, corporate teams and a large independent sales network
  • every one of them onboarded, paid, enrolled, documented and compliant, every pay period, without drama.
That is this job. When it is done well nobody notices. When it is done badly, everybody does. We are looking for the person who wants to own it properly. About Us We are building the residential energy infrastructure required for the AI era. We install thousands of residential solar-plus-storage systems a year, and operate across 10 states with over 700 employees. We are equity-backed and comprise nine wholly owned subsidiaries spanning core technology, sales and installation, and finance and insurance. We are growing quickly, and our people infrastructure needs to grow with it

What You Will Own The employee lifecycle Onboarding and offboarding across nine operating companies, at the volume a fast-growing installation business generates Employment documentation, I-9s, personnel files, and the discipline that keeps them accurate and audit-ready Employee changes
  • transfers, promotions, status changes
  • processed accurately and on time, every time The employee experience of every administrative touchpoint.
People should never have to chase HR for an answer. Benefits administration Benefits administration and open enrollment: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA and 401(k) Leave administration and the tracking that goes with it Workers' compensation administration for field and production teams Multi-state compliance Employment compliance across 10 states
  • registrations, posting requirements, wage and hour rules, and the differences between them Worker classification documentation and the records that support it EEO, ACA and other statutory reporting Keeping us current as we enter new states, before we enter them Systems and automation Own our HRIS as the system of record
  • we run Paycom
  • and make it genuinely reliable Build the reporting our operating company leaders actually need: headcount, turnover, time to fill, cost per hire Replace manual processes with automated ones.
We are a company that automates deliberately, and we want that instinct here too. What We Are Looking For Required 5+ years in HR operations or HR administration, including multi-state responsibility Hands-on ownership of an HRIS
  • you configure and run it, you do not just enter data into it Benefits administration experience in a multi-entity environment Genuine command of employment compliance across state lines, and the judgment to know when to ask for help Exceptional accuracy.
This is a role where small errors reach people's paychecks and health coverage. Discretion. You will hold confidential information every day. Nice to Have Paycom specifically Field-based or distributed workforces

Compensation and Benefits Base salary:
