SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function at the facility. The Human Resources Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to employees, supervisors, and managers while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative HR processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in recruiting and hiring activities to ensure timely filling of open positions Process offer letters, confidentiality agreements, and new hire documentation Prepare welcome letters, new hire files, and orientation materialsAssist with new hire orientation and onboarding activitiesCoordinate pre-employment screenings, including background checks, and report discrepancies to the Human Resources ManagerMaintain employee files and records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsMaintain employee records in the HRISSet up and maintain time and attendance systemsManage ID/security badge setup and maintenanceReview, audit, and submit HR-related invoices for approval, including pre-employment screenings, temporary agency staffing, and employee-related expensesCreate and distribute employee communication materials as directedProvide support to employees by answering HR-related questions and referring them to the appropriate resourceBe knowledgeable about company benefits to provide information and supportAssist employees with time off requests and general HR inquiriesConduct exit interviews and report results to the Human Resources ManagerAssist with employee recognition activities, including service awards, employee of the month, and company events (e.g., holiday parties, luncheons, company communication meetings)Support training and safety initiatives and assist where neededAssist in managingthe employee uniform program and resolving issuesParticipating in Human Resources staff meetings and company meetings Collaborate with Human Resources team members to support departmental initiativesParticipate in training and development opportunities, including cross-trainingAll other duties as assigned
