Bakersfield, CA (Onsite)
Salary:
$60,000 - $72,000 DOE Join a well-established Central Valley organization where Human Resources plays an important role in supporting employees throughout every stage of their employment. Our client is looking for a Benefits Administrator who enjoys helping people, navigating the details of employee benefits, and ensuring employees have the information and support they need. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys the administrative side of benefits while still having regular interaction with employees and the broader HR team. The Opportunity As a Benefits Administrator, you'll support the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs while serving as a resource for employee questions. You'll work closely with HR leadership, employees, insurance carriers, and benefit providers to ensure enrollments, changes, and documentation are handled accurately and on time. What You'll Do Administer employee health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and other benefit programs Coordinate new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, annual open enrollment, and benefit changes Respond to employee benefit questions and work with carriers and vendors to resolve coverage or enrollment issues Maintain accurate benefit records, process documentation, and support compliance requirements Assist with benefit reporting, invoice reconciliation, employee communications, and other HR initiatives What We're Looking For 2+ years of HR, benefits administration, or related experience Working knowledge of employee benefits and applicable HR policies and regulations Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and confidentiality Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to specialize and grow within Human Resources and benefits Employee-facing role where you can directly improve the employee experience Stable organization with an established HR team Broad exposure to benefits administration, compliance, HR systems, and employee relations If you're an HR professional who enjoys helping employees while keeping the details behind benefit programs organized and accurate, this could be a strong next step.
