DSD Assistant Briarcrest Nursing Center - 2.8 Bell Gardens, CA Job Details Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Position Summary The Director of Staff Development Assistant (DSDA) assists the Director of Staff Development in coordinating staff education, orientation, onboarding, compliance tracking, and employee file maintenance in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations. The DSDA supports the development of a safe, organized, and compliant environment for residents and staff through education, communication, and administrative support. The DSDA works closely with nursing leadership, department managers, and facility staff to ensure employees maintain required certifications, complete mandatory trainings, and follow facility policies and procedures. Qualifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in staff development, scheduling, staffing coordination and onboarding preferred Knowledge of skilled nursing facility operations preferred Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and department heads Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, email systems, and scheduling software Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and complete assignments timely Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists with new hire orientation and onboarding processes Assists employees with completion of onboarding paperwork and required documents Maintains employee education records, in-service attendance logs, and training compliance records Tracks CNA, LVN, RN, RNA, CPR, and other required certifications and licenses for renewal and expiration Assists with scheduling educational in-services and mandatory facility trainings Conducts follow-up with staff regarding incomplete or expired requirements Assists with maintaining personnel files in compliance with Title 22 regulations and facility policies Assists with direct resident care duties by covering CNA and/or RNA assignments as needed based on facility operational needs Maintains confidentiality of employee and resident information Assists with audits, compliance tracking, and survey preparation activities Provides administrative support to the Director of Staff Development and nursing leadership team Participates in facility meetings and educational activities as assigned Assists with employee communication regarding facility policies, trainings, and compliance requirements Performs other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift as necessary throughout the workday Ability to use office equipment including computers, printers, phones, and copy machines Ability to move throughout the facility as needed Working Conditions Works in a healthcare environment including nursing units, office settings, and resident care areas. May be exposed to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and other healthcare-related conditions following appropriate infection prevention procedures.
