We operate restaurants in LAX including PF Chang's, California Pizza Kitchen, Panda Express, Einstein's Bagels, Chick-fil-A, Ace Cervecería & Tacos, Betcha Burger, Qwench, Wetzel's Pretzels, Peet's Coffee and more to come! We are looking for a strong Temporary Human Resources /ER & Safety Coordinator with strong work-ethic, attention to detail and a love of customer service. This is a temporary position with a duration of 3 months from the start date. We have fantastic benefits. Whether you are looking for a career or you next job we are who you want to join. Several restaurant positions also open! We are looking for a bilingual Spanish/English, HR/ER & Safety Coordinator. This position will take ownership of the Safety Program including trainings and safety compliance, as well as manage worker's compensation and assist with ER investigations as needed. A team player with excellent organization and communication skills. The ideal candidate would have experience in our industry (hospitality/restaurants) and in Managing Safety and Human Resources. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities Under the direction of the HR Lead, manage all areas of safety and worker's compensation including, but not limited to:
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Maintain the IPP and the safety trainings up to date
  • Work with HR Lead on safety strategy
  • Plan monthly training for all staff
  • Train staff directly on safety issues
  • Create training for staff as needed
  • Perform monthly safety inspections of each location.
  • Maintain all first aid kits filled
  • Work with team to provide adequate PPE for staff
  • Answer employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Maintain safety program in compliance
  • Assist HR Department as needed HR/ER & Safety Coordinator qualifications/requirements
  • Four years in the HR department
  • Three years of managing the IPP and creating and presenting trainings
  • Two years overseeing investigations and employee relations
  • Two years overseeing worker's compensation
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish
  • Must enjoy busy, loud places as much of the work will take place in LAX
  • Must pass a background check and be granted an LAX Badge
  • Strong computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Must have own transportation
  • Must be comfortable walking long distances in the airport
  • OSHA certified a plus!
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
