JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support across all areas of Human Resources, including employee records management, benefits administration, payroll support, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee services. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and a positive employee experience while supporting organizational goals and HR initiatives.

Non-Exempt Key Functions and Responsibilities Maintains accurate and confidential employee records while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Demonstrates attention to detail by accurately entering, updating, and auditing employee information within HRIS and related systems. Provides responsive and professional support to employees regarding benefits, leave administration, payroll inquiries, and HR processes. Supports the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring timely processing of enrollments, changes, and required documentation. Assists with payroll-related activities by maintaining accurate employee data, reviewing timekeeping information, and processing employment status changes. Supports recruitment and onboarding efforts by coordinating candidate communications, interview scheduling, pre-employment requirements, and new hire documentation. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and company requirements through effective tracking of licenses, certifications, mandatory trainings, and employment eligibility documentation. Assists with HR audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives by gathering, organizing, and maintaining required documentation and records. Demonstrates strong organizational skills by effectively managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and administrative responsibilities. Maintains a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information. Communicates effectively and collaborates with employees, managers, and external vendors to support HR operations and organizational objectives. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and special HR projects while promoting a positive and service-oriented workplace culture. Abilities and Knowledge Knowledge of Human Resources principles, employment practices, and administrative procedures. Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and related business applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work collaboratively with employees, managers, and external partners. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employment documentation preferred. Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Required Experience Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative or Human Resources support experience.
