Job Description

Job Overview:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resource department.
Standard Specifications:

Essentials Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in reading and legible writing in the English language 2. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred. 3. High School Diploma or GED, required. 1. Administrative experience, preferred. 2. Previous experience in a similar human resource position preferably in the hotel industry, preferred. 3. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the payroll software. 4. Work without direct daily supervision 5. Enforce hotel's human resources standards, policies, and procedures with all levels of hotel staff 6. Prioritize and organize work assignments 7. Maintain clean and accurate records 8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 9. Proficient in software, such as but not limited to outlook, excel, Propel, and Doclink. 10. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 11. Ability to write reports and correspondence. 12. Strong organizational, time management skills and multi-task. 13. Ability to effectively train supervisors and non-supervisors on company systems and processes. 14. Ability to make timely and informed decisions and understand when to escalate issues. 15. Ability to demonstrate empathy, active listing, leadership and emotional intelligence. 16. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Must be able to keep proprietary and sensitive information confidential.
HUMAN RESOURCES JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides clerical support to the human resource manager. 2. Ensures the monthly topics, standard of the week, and selected newsletters are updated and posted throughout the resort. 3. Assists with the coordination of team member events, such as, but not limited to safety training, meetings, holiday events, and open enrollment (group insurance and 401k). 4. Distributes and collects eligible team member enrollment/declination forms. Follows up as needed. 5. Assists with the quarterly status audit, distribution and collects manager responses. Follows up as needed. 6. Ensure all team member state and federal training and certifications are up to date. 7. Completes quarterly food handler certificate audit to ensure compliance. Assists with scheduling team member testing upon request. 8. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation; Uploaded to HR/payroll file. 9. Serves as a witness and assists with documenting team member meetings and investigations. 10. Assists with job posting processes. 11. Screens applications, conducts telephone interviews and directs qualified candidates to the hiring manager. 12. Schedules and completes post-offer/pre-employment screening for selected candidates. 13. Assists and participates in local job fairs. 14. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation processes. 15. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. 16. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. 17. Performs other duties as assigned. 18. Assists with special projects. 19. Maintain guest and team member confidentiality.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
