•35 per hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to support daily Human Resources operations at our San Jose manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, on-site HR role supporting employees, supervisors, onboarding, employee relations , timekeeping , attendance, payroll coordination, and HR documentation. You will work closely with site leadership and corporate HR to ensure employee matters are documented, followed up, and escalated appropriately. What You'll Do Serve as the first HR contact for employees. Answer routine HR, benefits, payroll, and policy questions. Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee orientation. Complete and maintain I-9 and personnel records . Review timecards, attendance, and payroll discrepancies . Track employee absences and leave documentation . Document employee concerns and escalate sensitive matters. Support employee relations and supervisor HR needs. Assist with workers' compensation and workplace injury reporting. Maintain required California workplace postings and HR records. Support HR audits and employee record reviews. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information. What We're Looking For 3-5 years of HR or HR administration experience Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment Employee onboarding and personnel records experience Timekeeping, attendance, or payroll experience Employee relations documentation experience Working knowledge of California employment practices HRIS or payroll system experience Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential employee information. Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately. Preferred Experience Manufacturing or production HR experience California HR experience Workers' compensation experience Workplace injury documentation HRIS / payroll software experience English and Spanish bilingual skills Important Responsibilities This position supports HR processes but does not independently make high-level employment decisions. You will be expected to promptly escalate matters involving: Employee complaints Harassment or discrimination concerns Workplace injuries Workers' compensation Medical leave or accommodations Wage and hour concerns Disciplinary or termination matters Employee investigations Safety concerns Significant payroll or attendance issues Qualifications The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working directly with employees and supervisors.
You should be able to:
Communicate clearly with employees and managers. Maintain accurate HR documentation. Protect confidential employee information. Follow established HR policies and procedures. Recognize when an issue requires HR escalation. Work independently in a busy manufacturing facility.
