HR Assistant (Hourly, On-site)
Location:
Stockton, CA ONSITE Position Summary The HR Assistant is the on-site face of HR—building trust through daily presence, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through for employees and leaders at the facility. This role coordinates day-to-day engagement and employee experience touchpoints while also supporting core HR operations (onboarding, time & attendance, documentation, and HR administration) with accuracy, discretion, and strong customer service. Key Responsibilities On-site presence & employee experience Maintain a presence across the site; serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions and needs Build strong working relationships with hourly employees, supervisors, and site leaders through day-to-day interaction and follow-through Close the loop on requests promptly and escalate sensitive or complex topics to the HRBP / site HR leader Engagement ownership Coordinate the site's engagement rhythms and employee experience moments (e.g., onboarding welcome touchpoints, recognition, site communications cadence, key calendar events) Partner with site leaders to drive participation and ensure engagement efforts are executed consistently Capture and summarize themes from employee questions/feedback to share with HR leadership and inform follow-up actions Maintain simple trackers to ensure engagement commitments and deadlines are met HR administration Support timekeeping and attendance processes for hourly employees (tracking, corrections, follow-up as needed) Maintain accurate records related to attendance actions per policy and direction from HR leadership Support data entry and transaction coordination in Workday (or relevant HR systems) as directed Assist with reporting and audits (e.g., headcount lists, attendance summaries, required postings) Track follow-ups and ensure documentation is routed/stored appropriately Escalate concerns promptly to the
HRBP / HR
leader Required Qualifications 2 years of administrative, HR, or operations support experience (manufacturing/site environment preferred) Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable building trust with hourly employees and leaders Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); HRIS experience a plus (e.g., Workday) Experience supporting timekeeping for hourly populations Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar frontline environment Bilingual skills: Spanish Physical / On-site Requirements On-site presence required at the facility Ability to move around the facility and office areas as needed
