The Human Resources Assistant with a culture focus combines traditional HR administrative duties with an emphasis on shaping and supporting a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
  • Administrative HR tasks: maintaining employee records, processing onboarding/offboarding, and supporting training efforts and compliance.
  • Culture-related activities: coordinating employee engagement programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and supporting team-building or recognition events.
  • Data collection and reporting support: Affirmative Action reporting and any other reports that may be required.
  • Recruitment and onboarding support: aiding in hiring processes and ensuring new hires are integrated into the company's culture from day one.
Compensation:
$19 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
Hiring Support:
Post job ads, review resumes, set up interviews, and help with reference checks.
New Employee Onboarding:
Prepare and process new-hire paperwork and run orientation sessions.
Record Keeping:
Update employee files, manage databases, and keep all private data safe.
Culture-Related Activities :
Coordinate employee engagement programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and support team-building or recognition events.
Staff Support:
Answer basic employee questions and guide staff to the right HR manager.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
Experience:
Past work in an office or administrative support role, as well as event and program coordination for culture-building activities.
Communication:
Clear verbal and written communication skills to talk with staff.
Organization:
Strong attention to detail and great time management.
Computer Skills:
Know how to use Microsoft Office and basic HR software.
