Job Description

Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused ICAM Badging Specialist to support Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) operations at Kennedy Space Center. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring employees, contractors, visitors, and partners receive the credentials and access they need to support mission success while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing sensitive information, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Issue, update, and maintain access credentials, badges, identification cards, permits, and related authorizations for employees, contractors, visitors, and other authorized personnel. Process credentialing and access requests while ensuring compliance with established security and access control requirements. Collect and process electronic fingerprints as part of identity verification and credentialing activities. Review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and eligibility for credential issuance. Manage badge lifecycle activities, including renewals, replacements, updates, suspensions, and terminations. Recover credentials and access devices from departing personnel and maintain accountability records. Maintain accurate records and update credentialing information in various access management systems and databases. Assist customers by answering questions and providing guidance regarding badge issuance, credentialing requirements, and access procedures. Work closely with security personnel, human resources, management, and other stakeholders to support access management operations. Protect sensitive and confidential information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Support special projects, audits, inspections, and operational initiatives as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of experience in badging, credentialing, access control, security administration, customer service, administrative support, or a related field preferred. Ability to successfully complete required ICAM training and certification programs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (clearance not required to start). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed. Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with badging, credentialing, identity management, or access control systems. Experience supporting federal, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated environments. Familiarity with identity verification, access management, or security compliance processes. Associate's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
