Job Description

Established in 1876, the Lewis Bear Company has been a locally-owned and operated distribution company for five generations. It is the oldest privately held corporation in Florida and Anheuser-Busch's oldest continuous distributor. Our territory is Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Franklin and Gulf Counties in Florida. At The Lewis Bear Company we maintain a drug-free workplace. Drug and alcohol testing may be required at any time, including pre-employment, random, or post-accident testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Benefits functions: Facilitates benefits enrollment processes, presents benefit offerings to employees, and provides employees with guidance on benefits options and eligibility requirements Collaborates with insurance brokers, benefits providers, and vendors to resolve employee issues, answer questions, and ensure smooth benefit administration Processes all benefit changes timely, such as new hires, terminations, life events, and changing in coverage in the HRIS Payment and reconciliation of group insurance bills Administration of the 401(k) plan including the annual audit Provides 401(k) enrollment and open enrollment information to employees Processes and administers leave-of-absence requests and paperwork Ensures timely review and accurate submission of unemployment claims ACA tracking and reviewing of forms 1094-C & 1095-C Human Resources functions: Addresses employee relations to resolve any HR and benefits concerns Reviews and approves employee status changes such as salary adjustments, job changes, hires, terminations, etc Reviews and approves weekly employee timesheets in the HRIS Inputs all garnishments into HRIS system Participates in new hire orientations and onboarding Compiles complex data reports as requested by management and executives Maintains accurate, up-to-date employee information in personnel records Responds to verifications of employment in a timely manner
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have experience and the ability to use Microsoft Office software effectively. College degree and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience Prior experience with
HRIS, UKG
preferred PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Benefits certification a plus

$62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
