POSITION SUMMARY
Human Resources Coordinator As an HR Coordinator at The Shade Store, you will play a key role in supporting the People team by ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all HR functions. You will work closely with the People Business Partners to support initiatives related to onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with company policies. The role will allow you to own the administrative and operational functions related to providing well-organized and thoughtful support for the team member experience.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless experience as candidates become team members, including: Assist with job postings and candidate screenings as needed Prepare and extend candidate offer paperwork Initiate background checks (when applicable) and oversee the pre-hire onboarding process Welcome and document new team members through support with orientation sessions, new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, electronic document filing and issuing HR FAQ documents Maintain ongoing communication with hiring managers to ensure a successful onboarding process beyond the first week Perform administration tasks such as HRIS profile maintenance and reporting, employment verifications, draft and deliver employment correspondence (e.g., pay rate/title changes Partner with People team colleagues to resolve daily inquiries related to PTO, sickness and absence, expenses, company policies, and team member relation situations Deliver empathetic outreach to team members by going above and beyond to provide exceptional care and internal customer service in every interaction Support in team member engagement initiatives onsite and company wide Assist the People Business Partners in driving a performance management process, encouraging continuous feedback, transparency and impactful career development Own the team member offboarding by initiating exit surveys, IT equipment deactivation and retrieval, final paperwork coordination and addressing general questions Assist People Business Partners in tracking key performance metrics to guide data-driven decision making Own and support People team projects as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
Associates or bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration or related field preferred Professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required Highly passionate about HR, talent growth, and people development 2+ years HR experience, preferably in an in-person and/or multicultural environment Knowledge of basic employment law and HR compliance requirements Proven ability working in an HRIS (Paycom experience is a plus) Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, empathy, and sound judgement Exceptional planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines Creative outlook and ideas on improving the team member experience
