JOB TITLE

•The HR Assistant/Receptionist demonstrates good communication skills, good typing and computer skills, ability to prioritize tasks, displays good organizational skills, and the ability to integrate into departments. Along with Receptionist duties provides technical and administrative assistance to Human Resources departmentSUPERVISOR

: Answers the telephone by the third ring; identifies agency and self; speaks clearly and in a moderate tone of voice; addresses the caller by name when known. Screens all incoming calls and transfers callers to the appropriate individual or department. Takes messages when necessary ensuring that all information is correct and forwarded promptly to the appropriate individual. Greets customers in a professional, friendly and courteous manner Greets visitors and employees, determines their needs and provides effective assistance. Forwards calls appropriately and takes accurate messages for return Creates Employee ID Badges Processes Unemployment Claims Assist with special projects and other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•This position requires the following minimal requirements: Excellent customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi task and prioritize Ability to work well independently and within a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel Maintains working area and equipment in accordance with environmental and safety regulationsEDUCATION
•High School Diploma or GED Equivalent requiredEXPERIENCE
•-1-3 Years Front Desk or Receptionist experience requiredCERTIFICATE/LICENSE
•NonePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
•Exert up to 20 lbs force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently Requires prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires the perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound Requires normal range of eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires dexterity to type 60 wpm. Work is performed in an office environment and involves frequent contact with staff and the public.
