Human Resources Administration at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a HR Assistant (Temp). This temporary role is ideal for an HR professional who can adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and provide dependable operational support during a period of increased workload or staffing transition.
It complies with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) to provide information on certain crimes on campus. This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority, ensuring that reported crimes are routed to the appropriate University office. The HR Assistant (Temp) provides day-to-day human resources support to ensure effective and compliant HR operations. This role assists with a wide range of HR functions, including Classification and Compensation, Talent Management, HR data entry and records management, and general policy and process guidance. The position serves as a resource helping to facilitate timely and accurate response to incoming inquires. Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, escalating complex issues as appropriate. Assist with Classification and Compensation request tracking, documentation, and follow-up as directed by leadership. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with organizational and legal requirements. Support recruitment activities such as posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Contribute to process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and service delivery. Provide additional project or administrative support as needed.Disclaimer:

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and HR experience.Preferred Requirements:
Experience supporting or contributing to classification and compensation activities, such as job description review, job evaluation, salary placement, or compensation benchmarking. Familiarity with job classification frameworks, pay structures, or compensation guidelines. Experience working in an HRIS platform involving job data, position management, or compensation-related workflows. Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.Department :
