About the Role As a Workforce Planning Coordinator (also known as Industrial Staffing Manager, Field Operations Planner), you will drive operational success by strategically deploying skilled craft professionals across complex industrial and capital projects. You will serve as the central hub for labor logistics, ensuring that the right talent is matched to project requirements while optimizing workforce utilization and supporting long-term employee development. Responsibilities Orchestrate the strategic scheduling of supervisors and field personnel across diverse industrial job sites to maximize project efficiency. Forecast labor demands by collaborating with project leadership to ensure seamless staffing for shutdowns, turnarounds, and ongoing maintenance. Maintain comprehensive skill matrices and certification records to ensure all personnel meet rigorous safety and customer-specific compliance standards. Manage the end-to-end logistics of field mobilization, including travel and site-specific requirements. Analyze staffing trends and labor data to provide actionable insights that improve workforce utilization and reduce operational downtime. Partner with talent acquisition teams to identify hiring needs and facilitate the onboarding of specialized industrial craft professionals. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of experience in industrial workforce planning, project coordination, or large-scale staffing operations. Demonstrated expertise in managing labor for mechanical, electrical, or heavy industrial construction environments. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience utilizing ERP, HRIS, or specialized scheduling software. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of industrial trade roles, including millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and electricians. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field. Proven track record of coordinating staffing for high-stakes industrial outages or emergency maintenance events. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on building collaborative relationships across project teams and client stakeholders. Experience in developing and tracking KPIs related to labor readiness, retention, and project staffing accuracy.
