POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator is a vital support role dedicated to assisting the HR team in the effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff members. As a key partner to the HR Specialist, this position ensures seamless administrative operations, maintains accurate personnel records, and provides high-level support to candidates and employees throughout their employment journey. The Coordinator focuses on efficiency and precision, allowing the team to foster a positive, supportive work environment for all CRCSD staff. By managing critical day-to-day HR processes and documentation, the Coordinator ensures that employees experience a professional, consistent, and welcoming transition with the district.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Answers telephone and emails, provides information to the general public and employees
Works with online application software system for applicant tracking and recruitment including posting jobs, screening and processing applications
Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
Schedule interviews working closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers, and both internal and external candidates
Initiate and maintain communication with candidates during the application process, scheduling of interviews, and hiring process
Work one-on-one with applicants and employees in-person and by email/phone
Facilitate and track pre-employment requirements. Ie. background checks, drug screening, physicals
Collaborate with third-party vendors to facilitate services such as substitute management, unemployment claims, badge access, background checks, etc.
Maintain accurate employee records for all employees
Help manage and coordinate the new employee orientation program
Respond professionally and respectfully to Human Resources emails within 24 hours
Responsible for data entry; enter, update and maintain system data and maintain HR system; review data for accuracy and completion
Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with staff evaluations requirements
Create new hire records and maintain filing
Maintain a positive and successful relationship with customers
Assist HR Specialist with data entry and projects as assigned
HR Administration projects as assigned
Assist Leave of Absence coordinator in managing leave of absence (LOA), including FMLA/ADA/Military and Workers Compensation
Responsible for documenting processes and creating systems for standardization of work
Assist with administrative tasks associated with high volume recruiting
Ensure actions comply with applicable bargaining contracts and personnel policies
May prepare job postings and advertising in coordination with department management
Support and coordinate hiring events
Promotes and advances teamwork and continuous process improvements to achieve department and district objectives.
Must possess strong ethics with proven ability to exercise strict discretion regularly
Regular and reliable attendance is required in order to be successful in this position
Provide support to Human Resources leadership, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and HR Systems - preferred. Strong computer skills, including data entry, email, Microsoft office, and Google Suite
Proven experience supporting a team in a face-paced and changing environment required
Time management: The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities under pressure
Strong customer service orientation and ability
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Project management, program management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
