Job Description

Play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources operation by providing excellent customer service and serving as a resource to the department, employees, and executive leadership. Work autonomously and efficiently with great attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality. This position will remain open until filled. CONSTANT
(67-100%) Maintain accurate and complete human resources files, records, and documentation. Answer employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of employment paperwork, including onboarding and offboarding documentation. Coordinate and manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes while providing guidance and support to supervisors and employees throughout the transition. Assist in creating a positive employee experience through responsive customer service, effective communication, and support of HR initiatives. Actively contribute to process improvements within the HR Department. 2.
FREQUENT
(34-66%) Monitor Human Resources training requirements for employees. Coordinate and support the employee evaluation process and maintain current records. Assist with employment postings, applicant communications, interview scheduling, and other recruitment-related activities. Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure compliance and completeness. 3.
OCCASIONAL
(10-33%) Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, filing, and maintaining records. Assist in creating content for social media, job advertisements, and new hire announcements. Assist with planning and executing employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations. Prepare monthly board documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Represent Iowa Central Community College in a positive and professional manner. Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail. Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs and deadlines. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public. Possess strong customer service and human relations skills. Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, data entry, electronic records management, and the ability to learn new software systems. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Candidates with experience in administrative support, customer service, office coordination, records management, or related fields are encouraged to apply. This position is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in Human Resources. Training will be provided for many HR-specific processes and systems .
