Job Description

Our Mission:

As a Human Resources Technical Assistant, you will be the gears behind the scenes keeping our team taken care of. You will ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, while helping them navigate their benefits, retirement plans, and perks. This role is a perfect blend of data integrity, compliance, and employee customer service.
Duties include:
  • Act as a primary point of contact for managers and staff for payroll-related issues and concerns
  • Investigate, resolve, and communicate payroll discrepancies, including missed punches, unapproved timecards and incorrect pay
  • Accurately and timely review and follow up on transactions utilizing Workday for new hires, job and compensation changes, transfers, terminations, tax withholding, direct deposit, and timekeeping
  • Participate in new hire HR orientation and assist staff with Workday onboarding process
  • Maintain confidentiality of information contained in and used by Human Resources
  • Assist staff with day-to-day benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and life event changes.

A total of two years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where 30 semester hours of accredited post-high school course work equals one year of full-time experience. Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to one year of full-time administrative support work in a human resources-related program area.
