Job DescriptionJob Description Essential Functions/Responsibilities Serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding insurance, vacation, payroll, retirement plan options, and policies and procedures. Managing payroll administration for drivers, including weekly payroll and payroll-related reports. Overseeing benefits administration and enrollment. Maintaining and overseeing COBRA administration. Maintaining accurate driver employee files and records. Maintaining and updating employees through company benefits in-site. Assisting with quarterly payroll taxes and other tax-related reports. Maintaining compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local transportation laws. Willingness to take on additional assignments and responsibilities as required. Communicate and Work as a Team Member Participate in discussions about confidential/sensitive matters. Communicate with employees and customers through written, oral, and face-to-face interactions. Communicate with fellow employees to complete tasks and adhere to safety standards. Required Competencies Excellent customer service, time management, and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail, honesty, organization, and planning. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time. Required Experience Strong knowledge and experience with general ledger systems.
Working knowledge of information systems:
Microsoft operating systems (including Word and Excel). Background or knowledge of fuel tax reporting and IFTA. Background or knowledge of employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, 401(k). Preferred Experience Business and/or human resources experience (3-5 years). Payroll-related experience (3-5 years).
