American Staffing is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Assistant for a local company. This position serves as first point of entry for customers, employees and clients while providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner Respond to emails and assist with general inquiries Welcome and assist customers, employees and vistors Perform accurate data entry and maintain employee records Collect payments and process transactions accurately Prepare employment paperwork and onboarding documents Maintain confidential employee files and HR documentation Order and maintain office and HR supplies Scan, file, copy and organize documents both electronically and physically Assist with payroll preparation by gathering and verifying necessary information Support employee engagement activities and company events Complete special projects and provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or HR experience preferred Previous administrative, customer service, or human resources experience preferred Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Resume 18+ years old
Pay and Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm $17 an hour
