Our Company Wisper ISP is a high speed internet provider headquartered in Mascoutah, Illinois with regional offices located throughout Missouri. We provide service in Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, quality installs, and trusted service. Role Overview As a System Support Assistant, you'll lead Wisper's Helpdesk function to keep employees productive and systems reliable. You'll deliver first•and second-line support, manage escalations, and ensure issues are tracked through resolution while maintaining clear, professional communication.
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8am•5pm; hours subject to change with business needs
Pay:
$48,000•52,000/year Key responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows devices and peripherals; supporting Microsoft 365; coordinating with senior staff and vendors; administering accounts, access, onboarding/offboarding, and device provisioning; maintaining helpdesk documentation; supporting endpoint security monitoring and incident reporting; and assisting with LAN/WiFi/UTM, remote access, and connectivity support across sites. You'll also contribute to cybersecurity and systems-improvement projects as assigned.
Required qualifications:
Associate degree in IT/CS or equivalent certifications 2+ years help desk/desktop/network support; 2+ years Microsoft 365 Windows OS and server administration experience; Linux exposure a plus Valid driver's license; authorized to work without sponsorship; pass background/MVR/drug screen Apply if you're ready to lead with integrity and deliver dependable IT support. Daily Rhythm Your day starts by reviewing overnight tickets and setting priorities with the Helpdesk team, balancing quick wins with higher-impact escalations. You'll coordinate updates with both technical and non-technical coworkers, keeping expectations clear and timelines realistic. Midday often includes validating a new security change in a test environment, then preparing a controlled rollout plan. You may check endpoint alerts, verify access changes from onboarding/offboarding requests, and ensure notes are complete for audit-ready tracking. Later, you'll sync with the Systems Administrator on project progress, confirm next steps with vendors when needed, and close the day by confirming the queue is stable and coverage plans are in place for any after-hours needs.
