This team member is responsible for the overall success of the program. This is accomplished by planning and leading program operations, facilitating coordination and teamwork among staff, leading program and policy development and developing/strengthening relationships in the community. This team member must have strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, supervisory and organizational skills, as well as access to reliable transportation. Must exercise independent judgment, initiative and flexibility. Responsibilities Program Operations Implementation and lead the YouthBuild Rockford program to include: staff supervision, program development, policies and procedures, as well as monitoring program outcomes Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the Comprehensive Community Solutions mission, vision, values and policies Translate grant requirements and outcome targets into program plans, policies, forms, reports, etc. Supports the Comprehensive Community Solutions Strategic Plan and prepared to assume different/changing or additional responsibilities as the position and/or program develops in accordance with the strategic plan Ensures compliance with all funding budget and program requirements, including completion/maintenance of all program-required documentation, outcome measurement tools, participant files, and required reports (including data entry) Develops, directs and implements a recruitment plan and/or entry system for program participants and oversees waiting lists, as applicable Participates in development/implementation of grant/funding requests, annual work plans, evaluation activities Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement. Develops positive, meaningful, collaborative relationships with Comprehensive Community Solutions programs/staff and external service providers to assist in the coordination of employment and training services and the development of collaborative opportunities Works with staff and Department Manager and Director to identify program needs and development opportunities Provide leadership to the program staff in the delivery of education, training career development, and placement. Complete related work as assigned within the scope of responsibility and skills required for the job Attends staff, department, agency and local community meetings as needed/required Make and maintain trainee paper files in accordance to funding source, legal and agency requirements; are up-to-date, correct and kept locked in the designated file room. Keep track of daily program activities and prepare the daily schedule for distribution. Coordinate weekly staff meeting with other staff to maintain a consistent approach to individual career plan implementation, expanding personal growth, and workforce development. Review and approve student enrollment, attendance, incentives and outcomes. Service Delivery/Supervision Lead program staff, volunteers and interns, ensures staff are meeting position responsibilities, completes annual staff evaluations, identifies staff training/development needs, provides corrective action plans as needed, and facilitates regular staff meetings Ensures participants receive services appropriate to/in accordance with the policies, procedures and goals/requirements of the program Develops support team service delivery environment Provides direct services to program participants as needed Facilitates case staffing Communication Assist in preparation and presentation of funding proposals and other funding source reporting or public speaking requests Meet consistently with staff documenting meetings and providing effective feedback to staff on their professional development Provide monthly program updates and development efforts to Department Director Excellent oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills demonstrate nonjudgmental approach and style Skills Ability to gather and interpret data, write research reports, work effectively with low-income and professional groups and express ideas clearly and objectively in oral and written form. Excellent computer skills including the ability to perform intermediate to advance functions in Microsoft word, excel and databases. Must maintain and produce reports utilizing databases. Ability to work on multiple projects and work in a deadline driven environment. Must be highly organized, accurate and detail oriented. Must have strong interpersonal and customer relations skills, and must demonstrate good professional judgment, reliability and a commitment to cultural competency. Consistent, dependable with the ability to work independently as well as a team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records/information and establish priorities to meet deadlines Proficient in operation of personal computers (Windows-based Word, Excel, Access)
