The HR Coordinator plays an important role in that mission by helping ensure our teams—from the office to the field—have the resources, support, and structure they need to do their best work every day.Job Summary:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting and administering core human resources functions across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role manages employee lifecycle processes including interviewing support, onboarding, benefits administration, unemployment claims, workers' compensation administration, FMLA, 401(k) administration, and HR compliance. The HR Administrator ensures accurate recordkeeping, consistent policy administration, and compliance with federal, state, and company requirements while providing a high level of service to employees and leadership. This position plays a critical role in supporting people & culture initiatives and ensuring HR operations run efficiently, compliantly, and consistently across the organization.Reporting & Supervision:

None Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Employee Relations & HR Administration:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and requests. Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in HR systems and personnel files. Support employee engagement, communication, and retention initiatives. Assist leadership with policy interpretation and consistent application.Interviewing & Onboarding:
Coordinate and support the interview process, including scheduling interviews and preparing interview materials. Assist hiring managers with onboarding preparation and new hire coordination. Conduct or support new hire orientations and ensure completion of onboarding documentation. Ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed timely and accurately. Roadmap forGrowth Program Administration:
Introduce new employees to the company's Roadmap for Growth program during onboarding. Review the Roadmap milestones and expectations with new hires to ensure they understand their development path. Track employee progress through the 30/60/90+ milestones and maintain accurate documentation. Communicate regularly with field leaders regarding upcoming milestone check-ins and required evaluations. Send reminders and follow-up communications to ensure milestone meetings are completed on schedule. Maintain records of completed milestones and coordinate with leadership to keep employee development progressing.Employee Records & Compliance Tracking:
Maintain and audit personnel files (paper and electronic) to ensure accuracy and compliance. Track licenses, certifications, and training requirements (CDL, OSHA, etc.). Ensure compliance with I-9, E-Verify, and document retention requirements. Support audits and compliance reviews as required.Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental benefits. Serve as the liaison between employees, insurance brokers, and benefit providers. Support open enrollment, benefit changes, enrollments, and terminations. Direct employees to the insurance brokerage company for detailed plan guidance, claims support, and coverage-specific questions as appropriate. 401(k)Administration:
Administer the company's 401(k) plan, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Coordinate with plan providers on contributions, eligibility, and compliance. Assist employees with questions regarding participation, vesting, and plan features. Ensure timely and accurate processing of contributions.Unemployment Claims Management:
Manage unemployment claims, including responses, documentation, and hearings. Coordinate with supervisors and leadership to gather required information. Ensure timely and accurate submissions to minimize company risk and exposure.Workers' Compensation Administration:
Manage workers' compensation claims from initial report through resolution in conjunction with the Safety Department. Coordinate with injured employees, supervisors, the Safety team, insurance carriers, and medical providers. Track claims, maintain documentation, and support return-to-work processes. Partner with Safety and Operations teams to address trends, investigations, and corrective actions.FMLA & Leave Administration:
Administer FMLA, medical, and other protected leaves in compliance with applicable laws. Track leave usage, eligibility, and required documentation. Communicate clearly with employees and managers regarding leave status and expectations. Coordinate leave impacts with payroll and benefits administration.Policy Administration:
Assist with employee handbook updates and policy revisions. Ensure employees receive, understand, and acknowledge HR policies. Support consistent application of policies across departments and locations.Performance & Review Support:
Coordinate performance review timelines and documentation. Track completion of evaluations and follow up as needed. Support corrective action documentation and performance improvement follow-ups.Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources administration or a related role. Experience with benefits administration, 401(k), unemployment claims, workers' compensation, and FMLA. Prior experience supporting a construction, manufacturing, or field-based workforce preferred.Job Type:
