The City of Peoria's Human Resources (HR) Department is seeking a Human Resources Assistant with a wide range of experience who can demonstrate strong organizational skills. The purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers while providing administrative and technical support to the HR department. This includes, but is not limited to: Answering phones and greeting visitors at the front desk. Providing information on employment, benefits, workers' compensation, safety, wellness, and training. Maintaining employee files in OnBase, the City's records management system, and supporting records management processes. Inventorying and ordering supplies. Completing projects and special duties as assigned. Supporting Human Resources in all areas of assignment. Assisting with New Employee Orientation. The ideal candidate for this position will: Enjoys assisting others while providing excellent customer service. The ability to prioritize by quickly assessing the urgency and importance of tasks. Experience in records management. Municipal government experience. Demonstrates strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
