HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
, Institute for Medical Engineering and Science (IMES) , to be the first point of contact and provide wide-ranging, responsive, and transparent support for the human resources (HR) function in a busy headquarters office. Will help to coordinate HR activities, including responding to inquiries; facilitating recruitment and onboarding; and coordinating rewards and recognition, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and compensation. Will also handle complex and diverse duties for multiple projects and programs. A full job description is available here. Job Requirements
REQUIRED
: Bachelor's degree in related field; a minimum of two years of human resources experience; general knowledge of the HR function, including employment law, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and onboarding; strong Microsoft Office skills; meticulous attention to detail; excellent written and oral communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar; ability to distill, interpret, and convey complicated administrative processes both verbally and in writing; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; and tact, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information; ability to demonstrate initiative and proactively anticipate issues and complications to processes, take action to address needs, and recognize opportunities for change; manage a variety of tasks concurrently; work independently with minimal supervision; resolve problems in a thorough and timely manner; anticipate and act on the needs of the direct managers and other stakeholders; and manage a high volume of work, remaining flexible as situations demand without sacrificing quality.
PREFERRED
: Experience working with HR and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Brio, Kronos) and Quickbase, and experience at MIT or in higher education.
