Human Resources Coordinator

POSITION FUNCTION
Under the general supervision of the AVP of Human Resources, the HR Coordinates is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR operations within the Credit Union including recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits administration, maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with labor laws; while upholding the upmost confidentiality and adhering to all Credit Union policies and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure job descriptions are up to date and accurate, post position openings both internally and externally, screen candidate and complete all preliminary new hire checks and screenings. Contributes to recruitment strategies to achieve required and timely staffing levels. Serves as internal resource for employees and management regarding issues, concerns, guidance, or any other areas in Human Resources needing assistance. Coordinates employee events. Maintains personnel, payroll, and benefits records in compliance with record retention standards and Credit Union policy. Assists with the development and execution of various employee training programs geared to meet job knowledge needs, to improve performance, and to prepare for advancement. Provides benefits support, including enrollment and billing. Ensures that the Credit Union is in compliance with all state and federal regulations and that all necessary regulatory notifications are provided to employees as required. Maintains a high level of confidentiality. Performs any other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains personal job knowledge and management skill at the level needed to meet requirements of position. Completes special projects when assigned. Continues to acquire the necessary education to maintain knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations to ensure compliance. Ensures Credit Union confidentiality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Hand dexterity required to operate computer terminal and/or related equipment. Eye coordination required to operate computer/teller terminal. Sitting at desk or computer workstation for periods of time. Travels to Credit Union facilities/locations as required. Moves around credit union between levels or floors while performing duties. Bending and stretching in work area. This position description covers the more prominent duties performed and is not limited to other work duties that may be assigned.
