Job Description

Assisting Hands is a growing, premier non-medical home care agency dedicated to keeping seniors safe and independent at home. Because our caregivers are the backbone of our success, we are seeking an energetic, results-driven HR & Recruiting Coordinator to spearhead our talent acquisition and workforce management. In this role, your primary mission is to lead our hiring pipeline and manage full-cycle HR onboarding and compliance. If you are an HR-minded professional who loves building teams and wants to be a foundational part of an expanding company, this is the position for you!
Role Evolution & Growth Plan:
We believe in setting our team up for long-term success. For the first few months, you will wear a few different hats, handling our primary office phone lines, customer service, and daily caregiver scheduling alongside your HR duties. Later in year one, as we grow, additional staff will be hired to take over these non-HR duties, allowing you to transition fully into a dedicated human resources and talent acquisition leadership focus. What You Will Do (Key Duties):
Full-Cycle Recruiting:
Proactively source, screen, and interview Caregivers, HHAs, and CNAs using Indeed, social media, and local networking. Create a steady pipeline of qualified talent to meet growing client demands.
HR Compliance & Onboarding:
Manage the end-to-end onboarding process. Conduct reference checks, process CORI background checks, verify active certifications, and maintain 100% audit-ready, state-compliant employee personnel files. Scheduling & Retention (Initial Focus): Match newly hired and existing caregivers with client schedules based on availability, geography, and skill level. Build strong relationships with the caregiving team to boost retention. Office & Call Management (Initial Focus): Serve as the primary, professional voice of the office—handling incoming calls from clients, families, and staff with high emotional intelligence and urgency.
On-Call Support:
Participate in an equitable after-hours/weekend on-call phone rotation (shared with management) to handle urgent scheduling needs. What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of dedicated HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience. Prior experience recruiting within home care, healthcare staffing, or senior living is highly preferred.
Compliance Knowledge:
Familiarity with Massachusetts employment documentation, CORI checks, and maintaining strict confidentiality/HIPAA guidelines.
Tech Savvy:
Strong proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Indeed Employer Dashboard, Google Workspace/MS Office, and home care scheduling platforms (ClearCare, AxisCare, etc.).
Traits:
An energetic "people person" with excellent interviewing intuition, a strong work ethic, and a results-driven mindset.
Local Advantage:
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) are a major plus for our local Marlborough market!
Tipo de puesto:
Tiempo completo
Sueldo:
$20.00 - $24.00 la hora Disponibilidad de turnos: Turno diurno (Deseable) Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
