Director of Human Resources, Director of Support, Engagement, & AdvocacyPOSITION OVERVIEW
Scituate Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR/SEA Coordinator to support both the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Support, Engagement & Advocacy (SEA). This role is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational functions, with a strong emphasis on customer service, organization, and collaboration. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a culture of belonging where all students, staff, and families feel seen, heard, and valued. They will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment. This position reports to the Directors of Human Resources and Support, Engagement & Advocacy and serves in a confidential capacity, including assisting with matters excluded under MGL Chapter 150E.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provides front line customer service for the Human Resources Office, answers telephone, schedules meetings, maintains filing systems, etc. Process all CORI/SORI and maintain CORI compliance for all current employees, contractors, vendors, volunteers, etc. Download and maintain SAFIS (fingerprinting) results data into designated files Provides suitability determination letters to other school districts, as necessary Create ASPEN profiles for all hires and maintain and monitor data input of CORIs Assists with the hiring process, by sending appointment letters to both new hires and current staff and submitting new hire "tech tickets" for account/systems creation when applicable Responsible for the logistics of new hire onboarding meetings with the Director of Human Resources Maintains employee files both physical and electronic according to instructions outlined by the Director and/or applicable federal and state laws Assists management by handling confidential information as it relates to matters of collective bargaining, employee discipline, and benefits and leave administration Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources Support, Engagement, & Advocacy Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide front-line administrative and customer service support for the SEA office Support district-wide initiatives, including Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB), and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives Assist in coordinating professional development opportunities for staff on inclusive practices, restorative approaches, and culturally responsive engagement Serve as an additional liaison among schools, families, and community organizations Support strategies to strengthen family & community partnerships Coordinate outreach efforts and engagement programs Assist with the development and implementation of student support initiatives aligned with district priorities Collaborate on project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication Help track program goals, performance metrics, and evaluation tools Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarizing program outcomes Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of SEAQUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
Associate's Degree or higher Minimum of 2-3 year of combined experience in HR, education, student services, and family & community engagement Intermediate to advance skills in: Google Suites, computer and data analytics, verbal and written communication Organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and competing demands High professional standards of customer service and work quality Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently with commitment to positive outcomes Commitment to equity and inclusion by having an equity-driven mindset and being culturally responsive Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employmentQUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in a related field Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience working in a human resources office Knowledge of MTSS, SEL, and DEI frameworks Experience with MUNIS, PowerSchool, and Frontline Absence Management HRIS systemsTERMS:
This is a 12-month (260 day) contracted, Non-Union, District position.
