Job Description

Powercon Corp is a leading switchgear manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality electrical solutions. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. In this vital role, you will drive the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers alike. Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications. Experience with utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Lever, Workday, iCIMS, or Taleo to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records. Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and motivation. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies. Engage in talent sourcing through social media platforms, job boards, campus recruitment events, and cold calling to generate a strong pipeline of candidates. Negotiate offers with candidates and facilitate employment contracts while ensuring compliance with employment & labor law regulations. Support onboarding activities including employee orientation, HRIS data entry (e.g., PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Paycom), and new hire documentation processing.
Qualifications:
Must have proven experience in recruiting or talent acquisition roles with familiarity in technical recruiting, executive recruiting, or campus recruitment preferred. Strong knowledge of HR sourcing techniques , applicant tracking systems (ATS), and HRIS platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization. Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates for various roles using structured interview techniques. Experience with onboarding, background checks and E-Verify. Knowledge of employment laws related to hiring practices and employee relations is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with sales techniques such as cold calling and lead generation to attract top talent is a plus. $26.33 - $32.00 per hour
