  • Part-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Human Resources Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department's efforts to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
This energetic position involves managing a variety of HR functions, from onboarding new employees to maintaining HRIS systems, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help streamline HR processes and enhance employee engagement across the organization. Duties Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the organization. Maintain accurate HR data entry and manage HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platform. Help administer employee benefits programs, including benefits enrollment, and workers' compensation claims. Support compliance efforts related to employment & labor law, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), affirmative action planning, and other regulatory requirements. Assist with the recruitment process (posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates) Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures Assist in payroll preparation and benefits administration Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts and letters Help organize training sessions and employee engagement activities Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Conduct the offboarding process Manage employee events, birthday, and anniversary celebrations Skills Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations including
FMLA, OSHA
standards, and workers' compensation procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations and conflict management. Experience with training & development programs and performance management processes. Organizational skills for managing multiple projects related to talent management, strategic planning, organization design, and employee engagement initiatives.
