Hudson Manufacturing Company is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Human Resources Coordinator to provide part-time support to our Human Resources department. This contract position will focus primarily on recruiting coordination, candidate communication, pre-employment processing, new-hire onboarding, and HR administrative support. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for candidates and new employees. Position Summary The Human Resources Coordinator supports the hiring and onboarding process from initial candidate contact through the employee's first days with the company. This position works closely with the Human Resources Manager, hiring leaders, candidates, new employees, and outside recruiting partners to help ensure hiring activities are completed accurately and on time. This role is well suited for someone with recruiting, HR, administrative, or staffing experience who is looking for a part-time opportunity to gain or expand hands-on Human Resources experience. Responsibilities Recruiting & Candidate Support Post approved job openings on recruiting platforms and other designated sources. Review applications and resumes for basic position requirements. Conduct initial candidate screenings as assigned. Schedule interviews and coordinate availability with candidates and hiring managers. Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. Update recruiting trackers and candidate statuses. Coordinate candidate communication regarding approved employment offers under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. Communicate with staffing agencies and other recruiting partners as assigned. Assist with job fairs and other recruiting activities as needed. Pre-Employment & New-Hire Coordination Coordinate background checks, drug testing, and other required pre-employment screenings. Track completion of pre-employment requirements and follow up with candidates as needed. Coordinate new-hire start dates and first-day information with supervisors and hiring managers. Prepare and organize approved new-hire paperwork and onboarding materials. Assist new employees with completion of required onboarding documents and acknowledgments. Coordinate with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure required employment documentation is completed. Enter new-hire information into HR systems as assigned. Coordinate orientation schedules and onboarding activities. Follow up on missing or incomplete new-hire documentation. Maintain onboarding checklists and records. HR Administrative Support Create and maintain employee personnel files. Maintain accurate employee and candidate information. Assist with organizing electronic and physical HR records. Prepare routine HR forms, reports, correspondence, and communications as assigned. Respond to routine employee questions and direct more complex matters to the Human Resources Manager. Maintain confidentiality of employee, candidate, and company information. Assist with additional Human Resources projects and activities as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous administrative, recruiting, Human Resources, staffing, customer service, or related experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities at the same time. Strong follow-through and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Comfortable communicating with candidates, employees, supervisors, and outside partners. Preferred Experience Previous recruiting or Human Resources experience. Experience coordinating new-hire onboarding. Experience using an HRIS, applicant tracking system, or online recruiting platform. Manufacturing or staffing industry experience is a plus. Schedule This is a part-time contract position working approximately 25-30 hours per week . The schedule will generally fall during normal business hours, with some flexibility needed to support interviews, new-hire start times, orientation, recruiting activities, and business needs. Work Environment This position works primarily in an office environment but will occasionally interact with employees throughout the manufacturing facility. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn when entering designated production areas.
