Human Resources Assistant/Front Desk Administrator Models & Tools - 3.1 Shelby Charter Township, MI Job Details Part-time $19 - $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Safety equipment provided Qualifications Documentation tools Productivity software Full Job Description Summary of Position Provides administrative support to the HR Manager, and support day to day HR functions. Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or by telephone and answering company inquiries. Maintain security by following procedures and monitoring a logbook.
Essential Functions:
(This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the position.)- Answers phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate associate.
- Greets visitors, ensures proper documentation to be ITAR compliant, and directs them to the appropriate location within the facility.
- Retrieves, sorts, and forwards' incoming mail.
- Orders all office and kitchen supplies and tracks inventory. Stocks break room accordingly.
- Schedule meetings and conference rooms.
- Other clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, etc.
- Reconciles hours, sorts weekly paychecks, prepares timecards weekly
- Weekly payroll processing.
- Maintains employee files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Enters and maintains new hire employee data and change in status information in payroll and ERP system; including benefit enrollments, changes and terminations, ensuring accuracy.
- Assists the HR Manager with the following:
- Conduct new hire orientation with newly hired employees.
- Annual Open Enrollment for benefit plans, administer COBRA, ensuring data is entered in third-party system on time.
- Audit all insurance invoices for each employee, ensuring accuracy and enrollment
- Help keep HR & Safety Boards updated and current.
- Hold training courses for employees when necessary.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and work overtime as assigned. Required Experience and Education
- College coursework in human resources, business administration or other related classes, college degree preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Strong sense of urgency and accuracy required. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, previous experience working with HRIS/Payroll systems preferred.
- Strong communications skills. Required Experience and Education
