We are seeking a self-driven human resource and accounting individual to help manage all financial related items from book-keeping, payroll processing, and all other related activities. A successful candidate will be able to effectively manage human resource and accounting needs, multi-task, and have great organizational skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage multiple accounting functions within the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensuring all entries are correct and reconcile any imbalances. Responsible for assisting with the month and year end closing. Activities include Payroll Processing, Certified Payroll Reporting, Tax Filings (federal, state, local), Account Reconciliation and human resource questions Processing of wire/ACH payments and checks to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Process customer invoices in both internal and external systems accurately. Entering and processing all activities within Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, resolving any discrepancies as they arise. Maintaining records both electronically and physically where applicable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations on projects or accounting-related activities. Responsible for assisting with weekly payroll processing operations with hourly employees and contractors into Paychex System. Onboarding new employee set up into the payroll system with tax and banking information. Partner with the Unemployment Agency to support any claims and/or protests. Demonstrate trust and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information without bias. Ensure all office equipment is running without issues and contacting service or support if needed. This also includes supporting internal and external visits with scheduling and catering. Arrange and coordinate company events, which include any luncheons or supplier visits Provide support and assistance with employee W2s, 1099s, and annual business reports.
Qualifications Include:
2+ years of experience in accounting Bachelor's degree in accounting Must understand ERP Systems. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills You process multiple and diverse sources of information to define and analyze problems more accurately before moving to solutions and implementation You relate comfortably and communicate daily with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography to ensure clarity. This requires outstanding communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Ability to use discretion when managing sensitive and confidential information. Intermediate computer skills using ERP system, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Suite of products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to use and understand excel formulas (i.e., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH,) and utilize data sorting and filtering (i.e., Conditional Formatting, Pivot table) to assess data
