Trystars team members are our most important asset, and we are seeking an HR Service Specialist based at our Burnsville, MN office.

Operating under the general direction of the Senior HR Manager Total Rewards, the HR Service Specialist provides centralized administrative and compliance support across HR operations. This role plays a critical function in ensuring compliant administration of onboarding, leave, benefits, and compensation processes, while supporting data integrity and reducing organizational risk exposure.

This position ensures accurate, consistent, and compliant processing of HR transactions while relieving administrative workload from HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence. The role supports onboarding compliance, HR systems administration, acquisitions, leave and benefits administration, compensation benchmarking, and HR operational logistics..We are looking for people who believe in our guiding principles and values of:

In this role you will get to:

Execute and maintain compliant onboarding and employment verification processes, including I-9 administration and required reporting. Perform accurate HR system transactions, data updates, and documentation management to ensure system integrity. In coordination with HR partners, support acquisitions and employee transitions by coordinating offers, onboarding activities, and system access. Administer leave-of-absence programs including FMLA, state Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), short-term disability (STD), and company leave policies. Coordinate with payroll and third-party administrators to ensure accurate pay, benefit deductions, and job protection tracking. Support administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations in HRIS systems. Assist with benefits billing reconciliation and deduction accuracy in payroll. Serve as a first point of contact for employee benefit-related inquiries and issue resolution. Coordinate with brokers and vendors on enrollment, eligibility, and compliance requirements. Support compensation benchmarking activities by gathering and maintaining market data from salary surveys. Conduct market pricing and compensation analyses using benchmark software. Assist with job matching, salary range analysis, and internal equity reviews. Provide support for merit cycles, promotions, and market adjustments. Conduct market pricing and compensation analyses using benchmark software; assist with the integration, validation, and ongoing maintenance of employee and organizational data feeds between benchmarking platforms and the HRIS to ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity. Maintain documentation to support compliance with pay transparency and equal pay requirements. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of HRIS data across all employee, organizational, compensation, benefits, payroll, and talent management fields. Manage centralized HR supplies and branded materials to support cost control, inventory tracking, and consistent distribution. Serve as a centralized point of contact for HR operational inquiries, ensuring clear communication and reliable execution. Support additional HR operational activities as needed to meet organizational priorities and service-level expectations, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Other HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in HR Operations, HR administration, Compensation, shared services, or benefits/leave administration.

Working knowledge of employment compliance requirements, including onboarding, employment verification, leave, and benefits regulations and recordkeeping.

Experience Supporting HRIS platforms and executing high-volume system transactions with accuracy.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data files, reports, and bulk updates.

Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across HR, IT, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with leave-of-absence administration and coordination with third-party vendors preferred.

Experience supporting benefits administration.

Exposure to compensation benchmarking or salary survey tools.

Experience supporting talent acquisition operations, including posting and managing open positions, coordinating recruitment-related administrative activities, and maintaining accurate system documentation.

Prior experience in a shared services or centralized HR model.

Experience supporting multi-location or manufacturing environments.

Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar systems.
