Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Incumbents are responsible for the development and delivery of on-and off-campus credit and noncredit courses, seminars, and workshops to meet the workforce development needs of students, employers and community agencies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage OSHA training programs and courses.
- Reporting/Coordinating with OTE in Chicago and Consortium Partners.
- Stay updated on OSHA regulations and best practices in safety training.
- Knowledge of OSHA Education Center requirements, regulations and safety standards.
- The Workforce Coordinator-OSHA will work in an office setting but may also travel to training locations as needed. A commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment is essential. Essential Functions
- Designs and/or coordinates the development of systems/programs; work may involve conducting surveys and interviews in assigned areas to determine educational and training needs, establishing databases or invoicing & tracking mechanisms, and ensuring that programs and services are designed in accordance with client needs and applicable policies and guidelines
- Develops and implements effective programs in assigned areas, follows processes and procedures for client and services agreements, and working with other MCC departments
- Performs or conducts outreach and/or research pertaining to agencies, employers, and community partners to support MCC's workforce program
- Coordinates schedules and/or arranges for appropriate facilities for courses, seminars, and workshops both on and off campus as needed
- Coordinates the recruiting, recommendations, and hiring of part-time trainers to conduct assigned educational and training programs in accordance with established College procedures; and supervises support staff to ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures
- Coordinates with faculty, trainers, business & industry, students, the marketing department, and other internal/external staff, departments, and/or agencies to communicate pertinent information; provide recommendations; identify potential funding sources; participate in the development of marketing materials, schedules, and proposals; and/or facilitate related departmental operations
- Assists with evaluating training programs, materials, and other educational resources as needed; work may involve researching and analyzing data on workforce trends and other information, and making or implementing recommendations based on findings
- Prepares and maintains records, reports, and other documentation, to ensure timely and accurate documentation, present findings, and comply with applicable laws, policies, and procedures

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Accounting, Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, or related fields
- 2 years of experience in training, education, research or related area
