Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department by coordinating onboarding activities, maintaining employee records, supporting credentialing processes, scheduling appointments, and assisting with day-to-day Human Resources operations. This position serves as a key resource in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and confidential management of employee and organizational information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources Assistant shall perform duties including, but not limited to: Administer and coordinate applicant assessments, testing, and evaluation processes. Schedule examinations, interviews, appointments, meetings, and provider site visits. Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for newly hired employees. Collect, track, and maintain payroll-related time and attendance records. Compile, prepare, organize, and analyze employee and departmental reports and data. Maintain credentialing and privileging documentation for medical and dental providers. Enter, update, and maintain employee personnel files and Human Resources databases, including employment status changes and other employee records. Provide administrative support through document preparation, correspondence, filing, telephone communications, and maintenance of departmental records. Maintain organization of Human Resources equipment, files, and office supplies. Ensure confidentiality of employee, provider, and organizational information in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policy. Support quality initiatives and maintain compliance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills. Contribute to departmental initiatives and organizational team efforts as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director and Administration.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Human Resources Assistant reports directly to, is supervised by, and is evaluated by the Human Resources Director.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Demonstrated dependability, professionalism, and initiative. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office systems. Experience maintaining employee records and related documentation preferred. Knowledge of Human Resources processes and practices preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional Human Resources education and/or related work experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to: Sit, speak, hear, and use hands and arms in performing assigned duties; Walk and move throughout the facility; Occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend; Regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds; Frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds; Occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Work is generally performed in a professional office setting with a moderate noise level.
CLASSIFICATION STATUS
This position shall be classified in accordance with applicable Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements and organizational policies. With regard to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards, this position is not considered a high-risk exposure position.
COMPENSATION
Compensation for this position shall be determined by the Chief Executive Officer in accordance with the agency compensation structure and based upon the qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capabilities of the selected candidate.
